We had a challenging and fun time building the largest mobi builds to date. they involved total of about 48,000 pieces between the two pieces we built over a week.
Many Thanks to Chang-Gyu, JaeWook,. YoungOng, Iron, Soeun, Jeffrey, Jiwon and Nayeon for your efforts and struggles.
IT was a delight to be invited to the Armory Show for the special design project. As with most of the 'fairs', the window of time to set up an installation is very narrow. We had two days to assemble two small pavillions. The work was completed thanks to the crew I had : Lorena Canales Morales, Kim Gun, Kim Kyuwan, Taeyoung, Cao Amber, Endi Collado - Many thanks to Juan, Michael and Sandra from Chamber and Debora Harris, Joel Morrison and Sophia Forelle from Armory.
The Design department at the Art Institute of Chicago has kindly brought Mobi into their Permanent Collection. Needless to say, I am honored to be part of the AIC collection. I think back to the days at the SAIC as a student, admiring the works exhibited and wondering if I will be able to do this someday. Many thanks to Zoey Ryan and everyone at AIC who made this wonderful moment happen.
